Haws 1 Carnoustie Panmure 1

Hill of Beath Hawthorn 1 Carnoustie Panmure 1

It was honours even today at Keirs Park. After a goalless first half the Haws dominated the early stages of the second 45 and were rewarded when Grieg Smith's effort from the edge of the box took a deflection and looped into the top corner. The Haws went in search of the second and passed up a magnificent opportunity when Adam Moffat set up Callum Adamson only for the ball to roll wide of the target. Carnoustie were to draw level soon after, a long free kick into the box had clear attackers and defenders alike only for the referee to award the visitors a penalty. Stuart Hall saved the initial effort but the loose ball was squeezed into the net by the penalty taker. Further chances for the Haws came and went but a finish was to prove elusive. One point collected and on to next weeks journey over the Forth to Bonnyrigg.
