Home to Bonnyton Thisle tonight in the Lowlands Conference A League game. The game started at a fast pace with both teams going for it. A lapse in concentration in defence cost us after 6 minutes and we found ourselves 1-0 down. Following this we pushed hard for an equaliser and had a few chances to counter but nothing would go in. On 70 minutes two dubious decisions denied us a penalty but awarded one for the opposition almost immediately resulted in us going 2-0 down. On 81 minutes Jack pulled one….Read More
A home game tonight, again in windy conditions against Edinburgh University. We asked the boys to keep the ball down and move it quickly and that's exactly what they done. Two good gaols from Jack and Dean took us in at half time 2-0 ahead. We dominated the second half and regular goals came from …..Read More
A tough one tonight away to Tynecastle FC in our Lowlands Conference A league game. Again we started brightly and looked like taking a lead with some good play and chances created. Tyncastle slowly worked their way into the game and took the lead midway through the half to lead 1-0 at half time. The second half followed the…..Read More
Tonight seen us travel to Central Park Kelty in the quarter final of the Development league Cup. In a great first half both teams were a credit to themselves in producing some excellent football. Kelty opened the scoring after 20 minutes only for Jack to equalise almost immediately, this looked to be the score at half time only for Kelty to score again in the 45th minute. Again after 46 minutes Kelty increased their lead and then continued …..Read More
A disappointing night for us losing 5-0 against Edinburgh City in our home game in the 2nd round of the Knock Out Cup. A night when nothing went right for us and on chances this game could easily have been 5-5. We'll learn from it though and be ready to go again against Kelty in the Development Cup on Wednesday.Read More

Back at Keirs Park tonight for our 2nd Round Challenge Cup tie against Lothian Thistle HV. From the off we struggled to get into our normal stride and HV took advantage of some slack play from us and we went in 2-0 down at the interval. A bit of reorganisation at half time and we started the second half strongly. Midway through the half Ryan scored from a direct free kick and it was game on again. This though only seemed…..
A large crowd gathered to see our local derby at home against Kelty Hearts in our Lowlands Development league game. We started very well and after five minutes Jack scored to put us in front with a great lob over the Kelty keeper. Kelty responded by putting us under pressure and equalised after twenty minutes. This seemed to settle us and we had our best spell from then till half time with Jay heading home five minutes before half time to send us in 2-1 in front. The visitors came out strong……..Read More
A home game tonight in the Lowlands League Conferance A against Preston Athletic. A very windy night for both teams and getting the ball down was going to be key. We dealt with the conditions better and settled into our passing game quickly and we created a few chances…..Read More
HOB U20s 6 - 0 Newtongrange Star
A home game tonight against Newtongrange Star in the first round of the Development Cup. After a one on one with the Newtongrange keeper in the first minute which we missed the game had a stuffy start from both teams with little chances created. Eventually we settled and Jack fired home from 20 yards to put us 1-0 up. This spurred us on and almost immediately Rory scored a fantastic second goal after great work by Dean. Following half time………

Away to Heriot Watt at the impressive Orium Centre tonight hoping to get a positive result following last weeks defeat at Dunipace. Again, both teams were evenly matched and the game swung from end to end. Not many chances for both teams in the first half with the best a header from Rory which narrowly past the post. The second half opened up with both teams tiring on the big pitch. After an hour….
After our four week break an away trip to Dunipace was our first league fixture for 2019. Since our first league win of the season against Dunipace in September they have been on a decent run and we knew tonight was going to be a tough task. This is exactly as how the night turned out with both teams matching each other for long spells. Dunipace were first to score……..Read More
Away to Cumbernauld Colts in our last game of 2018. On a cold evening at Broadwood much of the opening exchanges were even with both teams settling into the game. A defensive mix up from us allowed the Cumbernauld striker to tap into the empty net to go 1-0 up. The first half ended this way with us making a few good chances but unable to…….Read More
Very happy with the lads tonight in our home League game against Camelon. Again in difficult conditions we took the game to our opponents and forced them back. After hitting the post and bar three times we opened the scoring with a cross come shot from Dylan Harrison, after this a great run and cross from Rory, Dean arrived at the back post to score. We lost a goal…..Read More

On our travels to Kilmarnock tonight to play Bonnyton Thistle. The game started in horrendous conditions with both teams sizing each other up with little chances being created. After 15 minutes slack defending cost us a goal with Bonnyton going 1-0 up. This sprung us into action and it wasn’t long before Jack had us back on level terms at 1-1. The remainder of the half we pressed for a second and had 4/5 great chances to get a second. Second half started as the first finished with us pressing for a second goal…..

A home league game tonight against Tynecastle FC was our challenge this week. Both teams started the game very well getting the ball down and playing some good football. Half time arrived with the score at 0-0 without there being any clear cut chances as defences from both sides performing very well. We made a couple of positional changes at half time and this spurred us on and after 55 minutes Jack was brought down in the box and a penalty awarded……

Away to Whitehill Welfare tonight in the League knowing it was going to be a tough one after our draw against them in the first game of the season. We settled very quickly and raced to a two goal lead with Josh scoring both goals after causing their defence no end of problems. Whitehill got themselves back into the game with a slack goal from our point of view after 25 minutes. Alex though restored our two goal lead just before half time with a well taken goal. Second half…..

Very tough conditions tonight with wind and rain a big factor at Beath astro in our League game at home to Heriot-Watt University. Again, we started well and took the game to our opponents. Not a lot of chances in the first half with the main talking point being after 20 minutes Lewis being straight through on goal and being upended on the edge of the box resulting in a free kick for us and a yellow!! card for the defender. Second half Heriot used the wind to their advantage and pressed hard for the opener which came after 65 minutes. Credit to the lads though ……
Friday 2nd November.
Back at home to face Cumbernauld Colts tonight in what was a great night for football. Again, we started strong and a repeat of last week Lewis was brought down in the box and Jack scored from the spot. After 30 minutes of some great play Jack scored again to make it 2-0 and it looked like we would increase that lead. Unfortunately ……….

Delighted to pick another three points on the road against Preston Athletic at Prestonpans. Again, we were quick out the block and Lewis was fouled in the box in less than a minute, Jack stepped up to slot home the penalty. Not long after Jake scored from a corner and we were looking very comfortable. Unfortunately we lost our way a bit and allowed Preston back into the game when a mix up in defence resulted in Marco scoring through his own net. A wee chat at half time inspired the lads and they came out the second half and dominated proceedings. Further goals followed with a brace for Craig, a first goal for Alex and to…….

After three away games it was great to get back to Keirs Park in our League game versus Newtongrange Star. As usual the pitch was in fantastic condition. We started the game very well and pushed forward at every opportunity and after 20 minutes Deano arrived at the back post to drive home from just inside the box. Following this we got a bit scrappy and allowed Newtongrange an equaliser just before half time. We came out for the second half and again stamped our authority on the game with some good play. After a long run into the box from Lewis he was fouled by the keeper…
